The MO DARE Conference will be held in St. Louis this week, July 28 - August 1. As part of their activities they will be hosting a DARE Car Show and BBQ to help purchase books for the kids in the DARE program.

The car show will take place on Wednesday, July 30 at the Machinists Union Hall at I-270 and St. Charles Rock Road (the Hall shares a parking lot with Target).

The Elks will be handling the BBQ which will begin at 11 a.m. They are hoping to sell 1000 dinners throughout the day.

The DARE cars will show up around 5 p.m. and stay until 7 or 8 p.m.

They are looking for race cars, show cars, classics, etc. to be there throughout the day to help draw people to the BBQ and to give the kids some really cool cars to look at and sit in.

Anyone who is interested in bringing out a car for the car show can come whenever it is convenient for you and stay for as long as you like, a couple of hours or all day.

The only request by the DARE conference organizers is that there be no alcohol on the premises. If a car has the Budweiser logo all over the side that's not a problem.

If you can't bring your car try to stop by and enjoy the BBQ. No matter what tell all your friends about a great place to see some really cool cars, enjoy the BBQ (whether it's for lunch, dinner, or both!), and support a great cause.

The conference attendees will also be doing a service project on Monday, and a blood drive, 5K Run, and a visit to Shriners Hospital on Tuesday. Here's the link to the conference schedule. http://missouridare.com/
