Hey all.

Looking to get a set of wheels and new tires for my 2006 MCS. Car has stock suspension (although I have a set of H sport and yellow konis in my garage waiting to be installed).

Will a set of 18x8 rims (42 offset) fit without rubbing?

What is the tallest tire (non run flat) I can get as I'm looking to improve the ride of the car?

Can I still install the H Sport and Koni (I understand there is a 1 inch drop)?

Any feedback is appreciated (pix would be awesome).

18x8 and +42mm offset will work with stock suspension.
205/40-18 or 215/35-18 will work with stock or one inch drop

225/40-18 is taller than stock at 25.1" which could work with stock suspension but not with a lowered MINI.

225/35-18 is a good size, tire diameter 24.2"

This would work for stock and lowered MINIs.
Also Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric in this size.

Realize that the 18x8 rims are likely as heavy as stock 17" rims. Given tires with a lower and stiffer sidewall be careful about hitting any potholes. A tire with 40 series sidewall would be a little more comfortable but the actual sidewall height will depend how wide you want to go on the tire.
