I just bought a Gift Certificate to Tire Rack worth $500.00 I will be raffling it off at the event. ALL proceeds will go to the Naval Special Warfare Foundation! The raffle tickets will cost $10 each and will be sold at the gate to the event.

I have to be honest here. This GC cost us $500. If there is a LOT of interest, meaning commitment to purchase raffle tickets, I will reduce the price to $5 per ticket. We need to sell enough tickets to cover the cost and hope that we sell enough to make money for the charity too! Think about it, please. $500 could get you a HUGE discount on a really nice set of rims, a set of tires or any of the other great stuff that Tire Rack sells.

I'll be contributing to this one for sure. I've been wanting to replace my stinking 17" stock run flats like there's no tomorrow.

 

Five dollars would be easier to part with. You would need to sell 100 tickets to break even, then the rest would start to add up for charity. With the size of the crowd expected getting to that break even point should happen pretty quick. Of course you could use some marketing strategy and sell one for $5, or three for $20! Saw a guy do that at a swap meet on day with his product. Seventy-five percent of the people who bought from him wanted the "deal", some even asked if they could get six for $40, he would say Sure! I laughed till it hurt...

 

That's pretty funny Paleo but I just couldn't bring myself to do that to people. I've posted this all over the place hoping for a good response. I would rather sell them for $5 each but we just can't lose money on the deal.
