I have noticed this on MC's driving around town.
Sometimes I see a "justacooper' with a white rear foglight. Sometimes it's red.

What the deal? I like the white one better, and I am not sure which color my car will have once I get it.

 

white rear fog? are you sure it's not the reverse light?

 

Early Coopers have the clear back up light in the bumper. '05 and '06 have the back up lights in the tail lights and a black plastic plug or red rear fog light in the bumper hole where the clear back up light used to be.

 

oh so it was either an '05 or '06. that means my rear fog should be red.

 

My fog lights are red! I wish they were white too ...

 

Why would you want a "white" rear foglight?

Besides being illegal it does not make sense.

 

Hehe, yeah... wouldn't people think you were coming to them?

I guess if they were non-functional, it'd be all right, but almost as bad as fake vents on your quarter panels... ick.

 

I just liked the way it looked and got confused by all the different ones I saw out there.
