There is my mini. I have 10k to put down, possible 15k after the 3 month wait (please please please) and my grandparents tell me they want to help me out for building their roof for them. Not sure if I'll accept. But I am worried I might of added too much to my car. I added it because it sounded good/I want it and for better resale... but I am worried I should of just got an S for that price or whatever.

I picked the basic cause better gas mileage, less insurance, not interested in going fast right now (gotta avoid tickets for another 2 years so insurance don't drop me. Sorry Mr cops for speeding...)

And, I hear the sunroof makes less MPG?

Overall, I am just nervous, can't wait, hope I picked the right color... and thinking I might have spent too much. Might.

Haha... but I just look and think... 1k more and I get a sunroof (since the AC has to be had with Nav... AND I love HiFi... and I plan on moving to Colorado or somewhere with snow in 3-5 years after college and plan on STILL having my mini then... and it adds more space to the car... and... and.. and... I talk myself into too many things.

Your likely to get a lot of "Get an S" here. Not a position that I necessarily endorse. However at high altitudes it would have it's benefits.

That said - if you are thinking about snowy climes, think about adding the LSD.

Congrats. Love the color scheme. And the Coupe has some pep too. I've gotten her up to 100 near midnight on a vacant Jersey highway.

Whats the LSD?

I think I will get an S next... I just picked mini over mini s for gas mileage, lower insurance, cheaper...

Limited Slip Differential
Wiki explanation:
Benefits

The main advantage of a limited slip differential is shown by considering the case of a standard (or "open") differential where one wheel has no contact with the ground at all. In such a case, the contacting wheel will remain stationary, and the non-contacting wheel will rotate freely—the torque transmitted will be equal at both wheels, but will not exceed the threshold of torque needed to move the vehicle, and thus the vehicle will remain stationary. In everyday use on typical roads, such a situation is very unlikely, and so a normal differential suffices. For more demanding use, such as driving in mud, off-road, or for high performance vehicles, such a state of affairs is undesirable, and the LSD can be employed to deal with it. By limiting the angular velocity difference between a pair of driven wheels, useful torque can be transmitted as long as there is some friction available on at least one of the wheels.

So for snow it's something to think about.

Nope. The DSC will help to keep the car undercontrol as it is moving. The LSD will allw you to get moving vice having one wheel spin it little heart out.

UGH! Here comes the buyers remorse again.

I'm sitting here second guessing the Sun Roof! Don't wnat it to get too hot. I will like to tint my roof and add somehting to it maybe to block sun, but is that enough?

Ugh, is there some miniaholics anonymous I can go to?

Don't worry you can't get the LSD in the cooper, nor is it needed.
