So what conjectures do you have fo the third generation MINI.

I think the center stack will be completely redesigned. I think it will incorporate a standard screen [OBC, Entertainment info, car settings etc]housed within the speedo [like the current nav]. The nav will be a prt of the system if ordered. I also think there wll be at least a 20 GB harddrive avaialble. The these of circles and round shapes will continue in the interior. I think the controls will be cleaned up and better ergonomis for the stack. I feel the same basic shape and exterior will be more on an evolution than a makeover.

What are your thoguths?

 

Thanks for starting this thread. I hope the MINI designers read it as it may suggest to them what the customer wants to see.

My thoughts ...
better gas mileage ... regenerative braking ... hybrid/electric motor ... diesel motor alternative (70 mpg) ... fix the cheap plastic interior look, many think gen1 minis are much nicer, but keep the retro look .... better build quality, less rattles, stiffer body/frame ... offer more real wood choices (English oak) ... LED's everywhere, replacing conventional lights, interior, brakes, turns, etc ...

Gen "4" ... eliminate combustion engine - instead, four magnetic wheel motors ... all electric with solar recharge ... anti-collision computers/radar/braking ... fobless start eyeball scan ... anti-carjack/theft reporting "here's where I am" to anyones Laptop ...
