First Mod!

Woohoo!
Although I have made some cosmetic mods, I finally had my first "performance" mod installed tonight.
The hubby installed my DDM Works CAI... and man it sounds great!!!!!!!
I can't wait to get my new exhaust installed on the 23rd!

From 1 PM member to another, that and the Borla you mentioned in the Philly Mini forum make a huge difference. Not so much in power, it's there. The big change comes in sound between the 2 and throttle response.

Ah yes!
You're the one who said the 2: "woke up the car".

Yep! Can't wait.... I'm getting a short shift kit installed with the exhaust.
Then Whalen is making me a custom shift **** with help from Aesthetic Creations. Next comes a rear sway bar and strut mount brace.
Who knows after them
Hope to see you out on some of our rallys!

Put the same CAI on our pair of Coopers about two months ago. And at the same time, installed a pair of Megan Cat-back exhaust systems.

If you want to rrrrrrrreally make that MINI purr, Kitty (pun intended), then I highly recommend the Megan cat-back. It won't make your car sound like a ricer or other obnoxious car, but it will turn some heads.

Nice pun
It took a while to decide on a cat back system. I picked the Borla for several reasons... sound, performance, price, etc. I bought it through work for a fantastic price. I have always liked Borla.
But who knows... maybe the next Mini will sport a Megan.

Kitty you have a good looking SG MINI. It really makes me miss my 04 SG/SG. I had the AFE CAI and the first Megan sold for the MINI Cooper.

Glad you got a good price on the Borla. I was shocked at how inexpensive the Megan was.... $380.

Tell me how you like the Borla. I've read some threads on the board and some believe it to be a little TOO loud (if you believe there is such a thing).

Wow, first, let me say that is the only other SG I've ever seen! Sweet!
Second, I want to say I'm sorry for the loss I hate seeing any Mini post accident.

Thanks for the feedback Art... I've been slowly repairing Nugget, trying to fix the little things wrong when I got him so he's back to stock and perfect on the outside..... inside, well, he's going to be slightly different
