How many washes does a spray bottle of Hydro last?

I just started using Hydro and I'm trying to figure out if I'm using too much. After a couple of applications (car washes), I've used practically 1/2 of a 16oz spray bottle. Too much? Li'l Piper looks great, but this can get pricey. I know people order it by the gallon & even 5gal at a time, is this why?

Yeah, that's about what I did. Just lots of surface area, I suppose.

Sounds like you're using it pretty liberally. I think I can get 8-10 washings out of a 16 oz. bottle and still get a nifty shine over my Epic base.

I'm sure the Hydro Czar (Ken) knows the optimum application volume...I'm betting he'll be along shortly.

about 15-20 washes per spray bottle. Just spritz lightly... pull the trigger only about half way back per spray. Two on the bonnet, two on the roof, one on each other body panel. PLENTY.

But I still order it by the gallon. Of course, I wash MINIs a lot more often than the average bear... or MINI owner.

I mostly do dry applications of hydro, and I can get about 10-12 applications per bottle.

Ah-ha. Must use more sparingly, then.

if you have a sealant on the paint just use Hydro sparingly. no need to
use after each wash either. i just do every other wash.

for wheels I Hydro after each wash.

^^ Yeah, I did do the Palmolive --> Dawn thing with the first wash to strip off any dealer applied product & put on a good layer of Epic afterward. So I believe I have a good base. Since then I've used the Hydro. Sparingly plus every other wash sounds good.

Palmolive has hand lotion content, no? the wax is going to wear off
quickly, i think.

probably best to redo the prep using Griot's PaintPrep.

I get maybe 15 washes out of a bottle. That said even applying just 3 lines to the roof (I uses the jet as it seems to waste less to the air) and I can go almost two weeks just on the hydro.

With 2 MINIs to wash, they get done about once a week, I seem to get more like 25+ washes, and I use it every wash, but I use it very sparingly, as the cars have Epic on them. I don't use it "dry" like a QD ever, thats what Slick is for IMO. But I do buy it by the gallon, which reminds me, I have to add that to my list to go along with the Banana Gloss.

Oh, I think I use it too much then.
I just finished my first wash with Hydro, 1/3 gone. Next time I'll just spray each side twice then MF then but it looks really nice, even better than the day I pick up the car.... why? Cause that day was raining & my car look really crappy~~
