JCW over sticker

The dealer told me that they are charging $995 over sticker for JCW Clubman . Is this what other dealers are doing around the country??

Shop around, when the MINIs first came out in 02' some dealers were asking 5k+ over sticker, I remember recently when the Evo X first came out the local Mitsubishi dealer wanted something like 10k+ on top of sticker.

Shop around, if your a serious buyer the markup is possibly something that can be taken off

Call the other dealers, see what they are offering, maybe the next dealer would be worth it!

Try the dealer directory

This forum has a dealer directory. I searched it and found out that Mini of the Hamptons has no dealer markup, it's in your neck of the woods.

Thanks for the tip, I'll check them out. Our "woods" is pretty big up here in NY. They are 306 miles from my home.

I promise you that not all other dealers are doing this. Too many are unfortunately.

I know it's a haul from where you are, but the local dealership here is selling them at MSRP...tho' their allotments are pretty much sold out for the next month or 2.
Where in NY are you?

I'm up state in Rochester. The dealer is in Buffalo. I'm going there tomorrow. My folks live near Phila and there are lots of dealers there. If I purchase from another dealer, is this one in Buffalo obligated to service it?

I must admit .......

I took the plunge and ordered a Clubman S

I Love cars but I hate dealerships, sales people and the process of purchasing. But this experience was wonderful, zero pressure, the freedom to test drive and without the sales person along for the ride; the whole time it was a pleasant experience.

I’ve got my order number so I’ll be tracking its progress, patiently waiting, well waiting as best that I can.

A friend just paid $350 over invoice for a white EVO X MR.

The local Crevier Mini dealer told me they wanted $5K over MSRP for the Mini JCW's and Clubmans.

I won't pay MSRP for anything, so I went to the used Mini market. Amazing how well they are holding their residual values. I guess dealers are trying to take advantage of that fact though, and also the current high fuel economy demand too.

From what I understand, there is a very limited allocation of JCW's to dealers. MINI Concord has sold their entire allocation until next year, with a considerable wait list.

Eh, we don't have any incoming as of yet. I think we'll only be getting 2 or 3 for the whole of 2009.
We CAN order the '09 JCW models, but any other '09 model is still a bit out.

In short, spec and price is up to you.

Selling at Brian Harris MINI in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
