Help Installing Double Boot Badge Holder on Clubman

My double boot badge holder arrived today from www.cooperflags.com (Clubman still weeks away) and was wondering if it will work on the Clubman or will modifications be required. Using the pictures enclosed I am not sure if it will look ok without bending the bracket closer to the bumper. Looks straight across on the Coupe picture. Has anyone else used this on a Clubman? Any pictures? Thanks.

I didn't buy the double badge holder, but I have put the single one on the rear of my Clubman. It does stick out a little due to the trim next to the plate, but I think it looks fine. I don't think you will have a problem, but how does it get centered on the sides of the plate? The screws are only at the top or the bottom of the plate?

Thanks richs10 the picture helps a lot. I think it will look ok also. Looks like your paper plate is a little smaller than what the regular plate will be so the holder you have will be a little closer to your plate, the double one goes out a little further but in my head I think it will still be fine. The mounting in the middle of the plate does not seem straight forward but that will be more manageable by using a couple of small brackets hanging down from the top screw holds or just connected to the metal license plate itself if necessary. I also asked cooperflags and they sent me a email back saying it had not been tried yet and if it does not work or doesn’t look good just let them know and they will refund the cost of bracket no questions asked, very nice.

Any luck installing the boot dual badge holder on a Clubman; I would like to do the same but was also concerned about the fit. Thanks.

We pick up the Clubbie this week, I'll post some pics with the badge holder in the next few days. Really hoping it works!

I have some updates and it looks like it just will not work. I sent pictures to Cooperflags and had some suggestions to modify the holder to make it work. Basically needs to be a couple of inches longer and mounting holes in different locations. Hope this helps others.

Thanks so much for the update; I guess I won't be ordering one...let me know if you find another solution and I shall do the same!

This is what I ended up doing. I went ahead and cut the bracket in half and filed the edges down. This allowed me to center the circles in the squares next to the plate. You can feel behind the bumper so no worries about screwing into anything. I figured a couple extra screw holes was no big deal since it is all behind the plate. So now I have essentially 2 badge holders, 2 screws in each. I think the pics show it all clearly. I didn't have to drill any holes, threaded my screws through the cooper flag letters. I've talked with someone at Cooper Flags and he is now aware and is working on a solution. I think he mentions on the website that it won't fit the Clubman. I think it looks really sharp on ours!

Calicoskies,

The badge holders look fantastic. You got the spacing just right. Thanks for letting the guys at Cooper Flags know...I don't know whether to wait and order or to just go ahead and do what you did.

Second that...thanks.

But most thankful, I imagine, is Cooper Flags. I'll be placing my order this week.

Great photos and info and glad to know that Cooper Flags now makes these for the Clubman. Wish I'd seen this thread earlier...in time for Halloween.

Is there anyway yet to put a badge holder on the front if one has the regular slatted grill, as opposed to the aero grill?

Just adding a note here to look at this thread, though it is titled OEM badge holder, it has gotten into non OEM holders, as well with two from Cravenspeed that are in the works: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=155973 Not that I don't like Cooper Flag's version..but it is nice to have a choice and/or compare. These two that I have posted the prototype pictures of will go on the front of the MINI. I was told
It is a license plate mount that attaches to the tow hook on the front of your Clubman. I am told that they will be offered with a free badge holder that screws right to the plate mount.
They are not available yet, but will be soon.

But GOMINIGO has them and has had them for sometime now, we designed them. We have plenty in stock and they ship the same day as you order or the next mailing day.

We have three versions a top mount, a single side mount and a new dual side mount. The new dual mount will be in stock on Monday/Tuesday which will allow for the display of two badges on each side of the plate.

Also, our badge holders are carried by Griot's Garage.
