Weighted, non-metal (non-wood) shift ****

I'm searching for a new weighted shift ****. I have the AC Schnitzer metal one which is great if it was always 70 degrees where I live. But when its a 115 a metal **** is way to ridiculous. I have an ebay cheapy which looks similar to the new Audi TT ****, but I've had to do some super glue a few times to keep the **** affixed to the underlying metal that goes over the shift lever.

Any suggestions? I like the look and feel of this TT style **** and would prefer something of similar look and shape. thanks

i have the waylen shift machine in delrin... it's still weighted heavier then i was expecting and it works like a champ... even when it hits 110 out here the **** stays pretty cool... (unless it's in direct light)

btw... i think weighted isn't as big of a deal as you are thinking it is. I've driven my car back to back with a weighted **** and one that was very light and they felt the same.

i have to disagree (but this is entirely a matter of opinion and preference) regarding weighted vs non weighted making little difference. My AC schnitzer **** is definitely weighted and the ebay cheapy isn't. There is a difference in feel, but I also have the cravenspeed ssk on the lowest setting.

What material does Whalen use. Even my AC Schnitzer metal pedals are steaming hot after the car has sat outside for a few hours.

My Mini **** is stock but will go to another UUC. In the BMW I have a UUC Motorwerks SSK and RK3 shift ****. Also with AC Schnitzer pedals and ebrake. The brake can get pretty toasty in 115-125 degree weather here but the one that does is the shift ****. When I get in the car I have this double sock that I stitched to go over it... At least til it cools down. I wouldnt trade it for anything (the **** not the sock).... And as far as a weighted **** compared to an unweighted **** goes.....your crazy not to opt for a weighted one. Its for an easier throw. And another thing....the Mini **** IS WEIGHTED. Just not as much as a Whalen or my UUC. The OEM BMW one wasnt and I could feel the diff in an instance...
