ok i have decided to put a HAI system on herman ( cooper non s ) So far i have removed the old air box and most of the old "scoop" plumbing. All that i have had time to do so far was to use old air hose that goes to the throt body and wanted to know what everyone else, if anything, was using instead?
My last question is this, once you remove the front little scope and then the flex hose between, how the heck does the second part ( i think its there to collect any water that comes in through the front )

If you're going to go through the trouble, maybe rig up a box to block off the engine bay hot air. The intake is already in the corner.

By second part, do you mean the tube that goes from the valve cover to the intake tube?

 

not at all the same part. if you take the air scoop comming off the from rad cover, it bends 90 then goes into a fex tube, then into a solid plastic part again. its the second plastic i am trying to get off. unfortunatly i dont have a working camera to post pics
