I'm picking OCT 18

There seems not to be an official 1 day a year MINI day. Like Xmas, Holloween, Thanksgiving. I have given this a lot of thought. OCT 18 is perfect (OR the second Saturday in October).

First it is a great way to start the holidays  Plus it's a great time to see other MINIs and start your xmas list (or holiday list - depending on religion).

FALL is an awesome time of year for the MINI. Their colors look great with the change of season. The tempature is not so hot for outdoor events.

WHY have a official MINI day - there are a lot of MINI clubs around the US (and world). This would be the 1 official day that everyone starts making plans for.

Sir Alec Issigonis - Yes that is good because he was a contributor to the Mini. Born in November, passed away in October. I thought November at first but there is so much going on in the USA for Thanksgiving. So it lead me to October. You also nailed it, that's the 18th part

Sir Alexander Arnold Constantine Issigonis, British automobile designer who created the best-selling, economical Mini was born on November 18, 1906. He designed both the Morris Minor and the Morris Mini-Minor (the Mini), clearly demonstrating his time honoured automotive philosophy - to provide a vehicle that carried the greatest payload in the smallest practical space.

What about March 22nd. Wasn't that the day MINIs went on sale in the US (3/22/2003)?

November 18 is sounding better with people's input. I did think that at first, just didn't to conflict with Thanksgiving plans. People seem so busy that time of year.
