Hello everyone!

Im still a newbie in this forum, but im definetly enjoying this crowd much better than the other forums i belonged too (nasioc...). anyways, I placed my order for my r56 a few days ago, and I was talking to my dad about the car. He always liked minis, especially after driving an r53 in one of our track days. well, long story short, he has been going nuts since i showed him the JCW Cooper S. He is absolutely in love. Yet that love might have been tarnished on saturday when he test drove a the BMW 135. He described it as "being completely connected to the car"

now the car he wants will be sort of a weekend toy 2 doors, small, fun. and he will probably take it to some trackdays, driving getaways, etc...)

what do you guys think? should i tell him to wait for the JCW or go ahead with the 135.

 

The cars arn't in the same league, but with a few polyeurithane parts added, the MINI will feel more connected than the 135. Then again, I suppose the same can be said for the 135, but I've never added poly to one of those before.

 

what about the perks? Would he miss being a part of our community? going to special events for his type of car? Will he be able to completely modify his 135 to make it uniquely him?
