On drugs?

Now what the heck is that referring to? I drove a non-turbo around Boston this week (thanks to hertz), and it was fun, but not nearly the same as the S type for "kick in the butt-ness"l.

You may consider getting the sports and convenience packages as I see a lot of options which are part of those.

That sounds awesome... one of a kind with the silver stripes and chrome caps. My pepper white is on order and I'm considering chrome caps. Would love to see pics, as I haven't seen any with chrome mirror caps.

I was wondering that myself. Nice setup with the B&W theme going on. You're gonna love it.

My guess is he doesn't want runflats...

I agree about the convenience package, though...

Yours sounds very nicely optioned actually

I meant to say that your option package really does sound nice.

Here's my pending order:

Base S Model
6-spd Manual
BRG Metallic
Black/Grey Leatherette Seats
Cold Weather Package
-bun warmers
-power-fold mirrors
-heated mirrors
-heated washer jets
Premium Package
-Dual Pane sunroof
-Auto A/C
-Mini-Hi-fi sound system
Dynamic Stability Control
Multi-function wheel
Black/silver bonnet stripes
Chrome line interior
Roof and mirrors in black
Armrest
All season tires
S-winder wheels
Rubber Floor mats (all)

This booked out for $25,605 before tax

After I take delivery, it will add Hella Optilux Zenon yellow bulbs in the Headlamps and front fogs, possibly another set of driving lights (we'll see if needed after I install the hella bulbs), a CAI, HD rear stabilizer, strut braces, a clear bra, wet okole set covers....and we'll just have to see about that stereo.

Yup, I don't want the runflats. So I chose to get all the options of the sports package except the 16" wheels with run flats. I'm sticking with the stock 15" wheels as they give a better quality ride.

As for the convenience package, I don't like the armrest. I wish I could order the convenience package but tell them to leave out the armrest. I asked the dealer, but they said no. So instead I just picked the options I like most from the convenience package. So I end up spending $1250 for all those options except I'm missing the armrest (which I don't want), the garage door opener (I don't have a garage, so I wouldn't use it), and the comfort access (I would like this, but it's not something I need and not worth $500 as a seperate option).

Yeah, the installation is what makes the price so high. Unfortunately, they do not offer silver bonnet stripes from the factory except on the clubman model. I decided I don't want the black stripes with the black roof, so my only option is to have the dealer install it. I'm still not 100% decided on the stripes, but I was told I don't have to decide until the car comes in.

As for the chrome gas filler, again the install is what is expensive. Apparently the piece which surrounds the chrome cap needs to be painted to match the car, and that is what makes it so expensive. As the theme of my car is chrome, and I think the chrome gas filler is the nicest chrome part you can put on a mini, I'm definately going to add this.

I like a-la-carte ordering, too, as it seems there's one or two things in each package that I really do not want.

The chrome line exterior package includes chrome mirror caps, a chrome surround for the front and rear fogs and chrome trim around the lower grille. I think it is only $250. I ordered it for my SS/SS Coop and it looks great especially if you are going with an exterior chrome theme.

Ooooops, just noticed you did order the exterior chrome line. Great choice.
