R50/53 Two things irking me!
Two things irking me!
I have an 04 r50 and I might be heavily blasted for being such a newb, but I can't seem to find out either a) where (if any) the reservoir is for the rear wiper, or b) how to find out if there is just a clog to that line or whatever.
The second issue is that one of the parking lights (the one next to the turn signal) is out. I don't think it's the wiring because the turn signal works, but I can't really find out how to access the bulb to replace it.
Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated :(.

Typically with most rear wiper setups there is a silicon tube that runs from the resivor in the front to the rear window sprayer nosel.
The location of that parking bulb should be within the headlight assembly, correct me if I am wrong.

Do you have an owner's manual? Answers in there. Click and download below.

I uploaded it on to my server. PDF format.
Check out pages 111-114 for bulb replacement info.

Also, you can buy an original owner's manual on eBay, if you want to make the car complete. I have bought some on eBay for my old motorcycles. Those can get spendy.
But I think since this is a 2004 the dealership still sells them, for about $30 to $40, maybe. Maybe less, I dunno.
My personal preference is to have an original owner's manual for all my cars so that is why I suggest it.

Seriously, congrats on your new MINI! I hope you enjoy every single motoring mile as much as I do!
Welcome to the NAMily.

I think it is the same pump that powers the front and rear washers, but it can only go one way at a time. My rear sprayer hasnt worked in more than 4 years, it doesn't bother me anymore. I just have the wiper on when there is any water on the ground and it stays clean.
Go Here, also the filler tanks are on both sides of the wheel wells.
