Brought Axel home

Hi All :
Just had my first hour in my new Mini bringing it home from the Dealer . Hard to describe how well it rides and handles. It is just one great car, the way it runs so effortless .
As I was leaving the MA tells me to make sure I keep it below 4500 rpms. So I really was taking it easy on RT 80 . But still very hard to keep below 70 mph. It just runs so nice. I don't think I went over 3,000 rpm at any time and mostly 2,500 rpms. It is great having a 6 th gear .

Oh did I tell you I just cannot stop opening the garage door to stare .

I am going to have to spend some time with the manuals. When my MA was going over all the details of how to operate , radio, sunroof, windows , cruise , steering wheel controls , aux . Mood lighting . How great the computer . blah , blah blah. All I could think of was driving the car and getting out of there as quick as possible, hard to concentrate on what she was saying.

Should have got more sleep last night I guess , if you know what I mean .

Congratulations, we all have had a sleepless night or two because of your MINIs.

Pictures, planned mods?

Enjoy, the break-in procedure states 4500 max or not to exceed something like 90+, so go run in the twisties.

I can still remember my two test drives like they were yesterday and today, even though they were about a month ago! Just a few weeks to go until mine arrives.

Enjoy!

Enjoy reading the manuals I've had my car for a week, and I'm still adjusting the the quirky controls The clutch however is still a major thorn in my side (why is the friction point soooooo damn close to the driver!?!)
