I've been talking to the Miata guys about doing a joint cruise (not that kind ). They are due for a cruise and it seems there hasn't been a MINI one in a while either. Looks the like Z folks might join-in too. Seems like most folks want to do this on a Saturday.

Thanks for responding kb - although minihune, feedback, and cwlouis have said they were interested in it, no one has posted so I thought no one else was interested.

Right now the Z club guys are suggesting Saturday, June 14th but this is the "Build the Racetrack" event, so I am suggesting the following day, Sunday, June 15th. Right now, it'll be a joint cruise between the MINI folks, Miata Club, and the Z club.

Update, as of 5/21/08 AM : Date change requested to Sunday, June 1st - will this work for everyone? Date change was suggested due to back-to-back events Saturday, June 7th SCCA Awards banquet and Saturday, June 14th Build the Track event. Sorry for the sudden date change.

For a cruise you can always go for whatever time fits your schedule.

Start with us then break off when needed.

Since it is a joint cruise we will have a big group and sub groups to coordinate.

Just looking for any excuse to have some fun.

As minihune said, it'd be best to break-off whenever you need to go. At this time we are trying to get a head-count to figure out where we CAN go with the amount of cars we have (that'll determine how long the cruise will be). With three clubs, it'll take a little coordinating so hopefully we can get a somewhat accurate count soon.

I know a Honda Fit club that wants to join in about 6 or 7 maybe, who is the contact person?

Where will the cruise go? June 1 but where to start and what time?

 

You can be the contact person between the Fit/MINI because we (I guess me originally) are the instigators of the cruise. Started as a small MINI/Miata thing but getting bigger so we'll get something out quickly today or tomorrow (ball is basically in our court, unless Miata or Z club suggests something). Right now Feedback is kindly putting together a route for us. The Miata contacts are Cory and Avery and the Z club is Joe (not sure who this is).

 

We're interested, but depends on start time and route as to whether we can make it. Thanks for the instigation...'bout time we did a cruise - sure hope we can come! Mahalo!

minihune, can you get a Fit Club head-count to Feedback by Friday? He's trying to gets seats saved at the Kona Brewing Company. As of today, I have a head-count of 9 for the Miata club. Have not heard back from the Z club person yet.

I got a confirmation of ten people from the Miata club and eight from the Z club. We have about 9 so maybe we can tell the KBC to save a spot for around 35 people for us. This doesn't include the Fit club either. Should be a nice cruise!

The Fit drivers know about the cruise but none have RSVP'ed for Kona Brewery.

They might still come to drive.
