I ordered last night (Wednesday 5/14) and am trying to be patient and not bug my MA, but I still haven't gotten a production #. They have promised a 6 week delivery time.

How long did it take you to get your production #?

 

Took me about a week, maybe a couple days less. Give him/her about 5 days or so, then send a reminder email.

 

My MA initially told me 2-3 days to get the production number, but it was a week due to the launch of the Clubman.

 

We got our production number on the spot! We ordered last Saturday and as soon as we had all our options and such picked out they printed it and gave it to us. We were actually able to go on MINIUSA and look it up that night!!!

It depends on the dealership and when they have slots available...but if they estimated a 6 week delivery time, then you should get a production number in a matter of a few days. I think mine took 2 or 3 days.

 

i ordered mine n a friday and had the production number the following monday.

 

I had to wait a month to get a production number. I had to wait for my dealer to get their allocation in.

 

depends on the dealer. I had mine before i left on 5/10..

to answer your question, i would wait a week.

 

Hope you get it soon, got mine on the spot, (5/13) but they told me 10 weeks for delivery. Still waiting for a production week to be scheduled.

 

I ordered on a Saturday . Got mine by calling dealer on Monday.

 

How about once the ship lands? Time from unload to dealer in Chicago? Anyone?

 

I just ordered Saturday and called my dealership yesterday and got mine. He said he had it right away but didn't want to give it to m yet because all the information on it would be wrong online. He told me it takes a few days for everything to fix itself. I wonder how long my wait is.....

 

Two days to get my production number. E-mail your MA and they'll be more than happy to provide it.

Also, forget about tracking your car on the MINI website (owners lounge). It is woefully behind and does not appear to be updated very often. As of today, the owners lounge shows my car as "scheduled for production". I called 1-866-ASK-MINI and found out that my car was "Born" today, and was en-route to the port to prepare for shipping.

Call the ASK MINI number with your production number for the most accurate and current updates. They're all very nice folks there!

MA said it was "really crazy" around there and apologized for the delay. Of course it's still not yet reflecting the accurate config, but at least I have it!

 

yea give it a couple of days for it to show the right info on the website.

 

he gave it to me before leaving after having placed the order.
