Nav Computer Drama

First of all, I have to start by saying I love my NAV and my MINI wouldn't be the same w/out it and the features that come along with it. But recently I am having issues where the computer is freezing up and sometimes re-booting itself randomly. I am taking it in to have the service dept. check it out, but was curious if anyone else has encountered this? It also doesn't recognize the Map DVD anymore which is very frustrating. At this point NAV is not working at all, and entertainment features are working intermittently. Poor Mr. Bucket's brain all jacked up I guess!

I've had my car now for just more than a year. I've had a freeze-up happen three times, none in the last seven or eight months.

Each time it happened, if I stopped the car and waited a few minutes, the problem corrected itself.

I never did figure out what was wrong.

I had an odd thing happen on mine, I pulled into my garage and turned the car off, went inside, and about an hour later came out because I forgot something. The car was completely off, no lights on, but the nav system's backlight was still on. Hum. So I started the car, and no Mini logo, no display, nothing, but I got all the usual chimes and could get the voice recognition to work ok.

Started and stopped it like 3 times. Then had enough of that tom foolerly and pulled the fuse and slapped it back in. (think it was like 26 or 27). Screen turned off, started the car .. all was well and has been fine since. I hate computers sometimes.
