I was dusting off my 66' Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT Veloce today in preparation for driving it while my MINI is undergoing its 10K service, and thought I would take a couple of snaps. Personally I think the two are a great pair, and it got me wonderiing how may other MINI owners also have "Classic Pairs" like I do.

Post a pic of your classic combo!

Here's mine:

Well, I've got a 69 Chevelle Malibu with only 58,000 miles. Bought it a few years ago from a 90 year old lady who had owned it since 72. It's fathom, (dark), green with redline tires and Cragar SS mags. It's a neat car. When my MINI gets here I'll post a picture of the pair.

I'll have to get some pics of my father's cars. It's terrible, but I don't know exactly what he has. An Alfa Spider Graduate he's owned since new, maybe mid-eighties? It's immaculate. A GTV? that was his daily driver until he smashed it up in the snow last winter, he's selling that. An Alfetta? Sports Sedan, original paint, gorgeous ivory color, over 20 years old, just purchased it, it's in great condition. He was into British cars prior to me being in the fifth grade, then he went Italian and has never gone back. He's also restoring a Fiat Abarth for classic car racing. He has restored many British and then Italian cars over the years.

To bad it wasn't the 68..... I'd be interested in a 68. IMHO the best Year for the Chevelle.....

NFO, thanks!

Nynone4, Sounds like you have a Classic Trio! Nice combination.

I have been trying to increase my classic car presence but, so far (at least) I am enjoying being married!

I would also love to have (pairing down to the items I just might be able to afford):
Iso Rivolta
Any Abarth (on my budget it would probably have to be a project car)
Lancia Fulvia
Peerless
Studebaker Superhawk

I have to stop this now... I am getting the car lust thing again...

Along with our MINI, we have a 58 MGA. We've had some great times with this car...

Haven't gotten my MC yet but here is an older pic of the other half of the "Dynamic Duo"...

1970 Pontiac Executive 400...since this pic, the car has has rust repair, repaint (same color), new vinyl top (lighter color), and a myriad of smaller things. The MINI will literally be half the size of it (or smaller!).

I'm almost ashamed to post this. Why yes... that's a brick in front of the wheel.... and oil drops too. Not exactly safe or clean I know but there's wood blocks in front of the rear wheels. I'm in the process of finishing up the reinstall of a new (rebuilt) transmission and then I'll sell the Series III. Not to worry, there's a Dormobile in the garage.

'65 Pontiac Le Mans Convertible to go with my Feb build MCS (coming soon). Gotta do something to offset the '65 V8 gas mileage!

Here's mine:

I'm gearing up to do a frame off restoration of a '69 1750 Spider Veloce, and I own an '05 MCS. When the resto is done I'll be sure to post a pic here.
