Since I got my portion of the Government Economic Stimulus Package today I thought I'd spend it on something worthwhile, my mini.

I'm looking at getting something to block a little of the sun through the sunroof. What do you guys think about this? I'm torn between the sunroof only and the whole roof version, it will definitely be perforated.

ARTSJCW has that on his Hot Chocolate Clubman if you want to see it live or get first-hand info. I think it looks cool.

Go for it - I think I'm going to purchase a cab cover for mine.

Hey
Just back from the Dragon. Yes I have the MINI Black Jack. It really doesn't block a lot of sun. Perhaps the one from Aesthetic Creations would do a better job at that.

Ordered the sunroof only perforated grey scale black jack from AE on Saturday. I'm thinking I can install it myself since it's only the sunroof, we'll see.

I'll take pics once it gets here and I get it put on.

Thanks for all the input.

I have the front and rear sunroof panes tinted with high metal content tint.

This helped greatly with the "baking" rays that come in. It's cheaper that the vinyl too.

I like the Black Jack, it'll look great! You can never have too many Black Jacks on your car, in my opinion!

The screen seems to provide all the sun blocking I needed this weekend but it's only May so we'll see! Maybe I'll be looking for a tint or graphic once August rolls around.

I actually don't get a lot of heat buildup and if there is any I just pop the sunroof and it's gone instantly. My biggest problem is that occasionally I'm in just the right position that the sun shines through the mesh and hits me right in the eye blinding me. Not good when merging into traffic.

I agree 100% mellotron, I love the black jack scheme. I hope to get the handles wrapped at some point.
