My car sounds the same with a new cam. Ultrick or whatever. Idle is a bit rough. It did vibrate a bit more quite a bit more at idle so I took my damper off.

I'm not sure, but I really hope there is a sound difference with the head, cam, and header. I want my car to sound like an F1 car when I rev it. heh heh. With a lightened flywheel of course.

Sweet S2000. That is the sound I want.

Is it yours? What mods does that have? My dad's old S2000 only had a K&N intake and it did not sound this cool, but I could still break it loose in the rear.

Dr.Steve (Custom Mini Shop) just put my new RMW cam in & it doesn't make the car sound any different, but the torque & bigger mid-range power is definitely there. One of the best mods I've done.

That sounds terrible. I couldn't live with that for one block. It's like a bad bike.

a cam or head shouldn't really change things much BUT the Exhaust would.

When we get together for the joy ride bring a vid camera. You can record all you want.

Thanks.

That was a long time ago. It sounds way different now.

Back then

OBX header
Miltek CB Stock Intercooler
Stock intercooler

Now

RMW header
RMW modified Magnaflow CB (new style)
RMW intercooler

I love the sound now. loud and mean sounding when pushed yet livable on the highway when cruising. In the morning I'm driving up to MiniCorsa to get the RMW cam put in and some other fun stuff. Next week I promised silversmoke06 a ride through the canyon. I will do my best to film some stuff with full audio.

i have lived/breathed S2000's for the past year, but am trying to get back into the mini scene! Yeah, the turbo s2000 is alot of fun! Doesn't have the same secure feeling around turns as the mini, but with the added power, has made quite a few exotics and muscle car owners do a double take when they see my tail lights :D

Seriously, who the heck taught him how to shift! Takes like 2-3 seconds in between shifts! No wonder people need to buy sequential gearboxes to drive their car's fast .

I'm not aware of any change in engine sound from a cam, the 2.0 on the other hand... well, yea, that's a bit different .

I have seen a video of a S2000 that was turbo'd and was putting down 420whp and 350wtq and it beat a procharged C6 Z06 that would putting down 600+ to the wheels on 5psi of boost. It was a great video showing that light cars with TONS of power will beat a heavy high powered car with out breaking much of a sweat.

The drive-ability of the Rotrex powered S2000 is supposed to awesome. Power that never ends. I got a chance to see and talk to the team that designed the kit and they have dynoed over 400. The chart below is were they set the kit for optimum drive-ability.

May be M7 could hook him up with their new shift system! Boot prob isn't big enough though... hehe
