yeah the system should be pretty good! I just hope people get a more realistic idea of what the power output of the setup is in comparison to a centrifugal setup at the same psi!

I have had a supercharger and turbo system on my s2000. The supercharger was alot more linear than my turbo setup, but with throttle control the turbo can be just as controllable!

This was my torque curve on my centrifugal supercharged setup

compared to my turbo setup (the turbo now spools 1k earlier since i fixed a exhaust leak)

Hmm, that first dyno from Rotrex looks pretty optimistic. I don't doubt at all that they can push that kind of HP and TQ from that engine, or even more. That engine is a beauty. However for the power curves to be that linear, I'd be surprised if that wasn't doctored to make customers happy. I know some dyno companies are bad for that, especially dynojet.

The stock S2000 has serious dips in the powerband around the 4000 to 6000 mark before it takes off with VTEC. I'm no s2k expert, but I know that it is next to impossible to get rid of that dip in power no matter what the modifications are.

I'm installing one tomorrow I think, unlikely that the performance benefit will be that noticeable though without a tune. We'll see!

Rusty are you going to dyno and tune after your RMW camshaft install then?

I've noticed an apparent drop in power during part throttle/vacuum with my Ultrik cam. Under WOT/boost things seem AOK!

Hi Jeremy,

Your cam is known for a drop down low.

The RMW cam actually helps a little down low but mostly in the mid range torque department. Take a look at PGT's chart and there are a couple other with the RMW head and Cam. The cars with the head have a great flat TQ curve starting low in the RPM range. The cars with the cam look the same but have about 10lbs more across the board.

Yeah that's what I've read for years Longboard. Fortunately, when it's go time the BPV will be shut and the revs will stay up! Even now there's still enough low down go power to putt putt around town. I just couldn't pass up that NAM special offer of $225 for this Ultrik cam.

I'll try to dyno it this summer as the Vancouver Mini Club is going to do a dyno day on a Mustang dyno here in town. We'll see how the curves look then. Who knows I may try a RMW cam or cylinder head or even a tune eventually.

Ya I know what you mean, I keep buying stuff because of deals. The head would amaze at what a different car you end up with. Sounds like it's just a matter of time.
