HOT RED CLASSIC PICKUP TRUCK!

I just saw this pickup truck out on Mini Mania and just had to share it with everyone... here are the details... I would love to have it myself... It's $17,000.00 though...
CHECK IT OUT!

1975 Mini Pick Up truck, completely restored 3 years ago, upgraded with 1275 rebuilt engine and 1.75 carburetor, 8.4" brake system with booster. New dash, gauges, steering wheel, and complete interior. 13x7 deepdish minilite wheels and tires. New front shock absorbers, bearings, etc. A1 condition in and out. New RC40 exaust system. 5,000 miles since engine rebuilt, runs at 180 degrees all day long no problem, very solid shell and subframes. Sport pack archers. Cristal clear sound system. Car is very quiet with double sound pading under the carpet all around. This is a very rare mini, only 58k built worldwide since 1959. This is s real headturning mini. Allways garaged and well maintained over all. If you have any additional question, please contact me at Alfremor@aol.com . This mini is in Miami, Florida and welcomes any inspection. Also have a clean Florida Title.

This trucklette looks really nice. I'm not surprized to see it listed at $17K. Pick-ups usually carry an extra $4-5K premium over saloons. I've seen unrestored ones go for $11K.

Exactly. I probably wouldn't pay that much but I'm sure it's worth it.

And speaking of spending upwards toward the national deficit, I admittedly look at this truck with a bittersweet smile. Wish mine only cost $17k.

Such a shame those wide wheels and big arches spoil the finished product would of looked much better on a set of 10" minilites..............

I agree with MK1leg, I wish it was more original looking. To many people are going with the early grill, big wheels and big arches.

Holy Thread-from-the-Dead Batman!

If this truck is solid and runs, 17 for it was a steal. Sold mine for close to this, and this one appears nicer.

The Sportpack arches do throw it off. A set of W&P's would have set if off perfect.

W&P... Like these? I like them w/10's, but not sure they would work w/13x7s.

JBC4317-
That red P'up in post #13 would be mine. I don't have plans for selling it, and besides, the cost would be silly expensive because it's a Honda conversion. It looks like a classic, but underneath the standard hood and front fenders is a D16Y8 VTEC engine w/5 speed. It's a lefty.

Hey 2phun-

I love your quote- "Holly thread-from-the-dead Batman..."
That inspired me to look at the original thread date. Wow, time flies! There is always a chance that the original red Pup in this thread is now back on the market--being that classics seem to change hands every 3-5 years.

Can someone help me find a Pup, needs to be 1975 or older, that I can register here in California? I don't care if it needs work, just no full body panel restorations for me... Any help in locating a non rust bucket vehicle for a reasonable price is appreciated! Please PM me if you have any information.

Thanks, Jon.
