7.5x15 6ULs?

Anyone running 7.5x15 6ULs on their MINI? I'm thinking of purchasing these wheels to go with the Hankook R-S2s (225/45-15) I bought during the last big Discount Tire sale.
I know the 8" wide 6ULs may need a spacer in the rear, but Emilo (produces the 6UL wheel) thinks the 7.5/225/45 combo should clear everything.
My MCS is stock-no mods.

Yes....I run them for a dedicated autox set-up (225/45 Hoosier A6's). I use a 5mm spacer up front to clear my BC coilovers otherwise I think they would clear the stock strut without a spacer (because the stocker has that flat side to the strut). But I couldn't tell you for sure now...

I also think the 8" would clear as well since the rim isn't what's close to the coilover strut, the tire is what's close.

And I do use the 5mm spacer in the rear but it's not needed....

Thanks S-Driver-I put two of my 6UL 15x8 (40 mm offset-off of my monster Miata) on my MCS just to see how they would look. Besides the fact that the rear wheel rubs (inside), the 225/45s look seriously dumb on a standard height MINI (huge wheel gap).
I ended up purchasing a set of 16x7.5 Koesi T1 Racing wheels.

15x7 wheels can use 225/45-15 and will fit.

15x7.5 with 225/45-15 is fine.

I use 15x8 +36 offset with 205/50-15, 225/45-15 and 225/50-15 that for the fronts they all will fit with no need for spacers with a lowered suspension.

In the rear the 15x7 rim is fine but the 15x8 rim needs a 3mm spacer to clear the rear lower trailing arm that hits the inner edge of the rim.

Fronts 225/50-15 Kumho V710 on 15x8 rims +36 offset no spacer
Rears 205/50-15 Kumho V710 on 15x8 rims +36 offset with 3 mm spacer

Okay, here's a photo of my monster's 15x8 6ULs (225/45-15 Hankooks) on my MCS. I put them on one side to see what they would look like. I really like the look of the wheel, but the wheel gap is comical. Note that the suspension would probably settle a bit more on its own, and with a lowered suspension this combo would look awesome (in my view).

p.s. NO laughing at my wheel gap

These are with Bilstein PSS9 Coilovers and 1.7" drop front and rears
15x8 6UL rims with 225/45-15 Hoosier A6 tires front and rear(3mm spacer).

Going to bring this thread back... I haven't heard any issues with low offset wheels but how do you guys think the wheel bearings would do with a +34 offset? I like the 6UL's but the 15x8's seem to be hit or miss in terms of requiring spacers (which I'd like to avoid). The 15x7.5's are great but I wish the offset was a little higher.

And I'll bring this thread back again. Any news on these wheels? Especially the 15x8 +36 offset. I really really like them.

I love those wheels. Very unique for a 15" rim. Will these wheels be around for a while? I'm looking to buy these down the road at some point.

Version 1 is selling out now.

The new version 2 is selling now beginning in May so it will be around but do check with 949racing.

Miatas often use these rims. I think Miatas will be around for some time.

It seems like these are mainly track/auto-x wheels. How are these wheels for street only use? From my understanding, running a 225/50/15 tire would require some trimming of the plastic fender in the rear. Is this something a body shop could easily do for me?

You mean trimming the wheel arch molding right? If so you can easily do that with a dremmel, I would think.

Or do what I did and run the tires and let them do the trimming for you! Tires were no worse for the wear....

Are you saying these rub the actual molding or only the inside of the molding? If they only rub on the inside I would most likely let them do the trimming.

I run 225/45/15's with a 5mm spacer on a '03 MCS. 15 x 7.5 rims....

They rubbed the inside of the moldings...can't see anything from the outside.

And they didn't rub at any autox's......just when I tracked the car at Watkins Glen.
