What is the reason for the picture showing the spacing between the door and the fender panel? Did the strut defenders some how change the alingnment?

I hope it was unnecessary, but for the money, it's good insurance.

off-topic, but are those painted pinstripes? I don't see those very often any more, and they look very classy. I don't think any cars come with them from the factory, but a lot of dealers used to offer it as an option.

Yes hand painted, 1 Black, 1 Dark brown, the brown is the color of the Hot Choc leather.

Again, very classy. Does your MINI dealer offer that service, or did you go out in town?

The dealer does offer it, but had it done directly with the people that do it for the dealer.

Thanks!

I just installed those very same plates on my MCSC last weekend.

Unnecessary ? MAYBE. But maybe NOT. Inexpensive insurance is smart.
