Flat black door handles and gas door?

I saw a picture of someones Mini on here that had the handles and fuel door flat black.

My question is are they after market parts or just paint?

If this is answered somewhere else please give the link.

Thanks in advance!

Painted, or vinyl wrapped.

I want them too but I've heard the newer MINIs are very difficult to change door handles

You can paint but even roughening up the chrome it WILL chip no matter how careful you are ...
Aesthetic creations has carbon fiber COVERS for them too

Fuel door is easy; 1 screw takes it off. Scuff sand, hit it with self-etching primer, then the color of your choice. I did mine 6 months ago (satin black) and it still looks as good as the day I installed it.
Door handles, not so easy. I'm waiting for my AC carbon fiber caps to arrive.

don't paint....it will chip whenever someone with a ring opens the door or fills the car with gas....you'll regret it....to wrap the r56 involves removing the handle which is best left to a body shop unless you are really good at managing window adjustments and have little hands....it's a multiple hour job...i don't think there's a good solution yet

huh, the vinyl styles site appears to not be working today. Hope it's just a temporary thing.

I just painted my gas cap and door handles and they haven't chipped at all.
I used a clear coat for protection.
