JUST INSTALLED MY NEW INVIDIA M1 EXHAUST...SWEET!!!!

I just finished installing my new Invidia N1 exhaust and I have to say that I made the right choice with this system. I did A LOT of research and listened to millions of sounds clips etc. The sound is sporty to say the least without the drone inside the cabin. It turns heads at WOT and it also enhances the 05 MCS burble. The quality is top notch and the install only took about 1.5 hours on a lift. It's much lighter than the stock exhaust even though it comes with the two mufflers (one of each side) and a glass pack to quite her down just a bit. The only part that took a few minutes were the rubber hangers. The stock exhaust has these little nipples at the end of the mounts that make it hard to remove the exhaust from the hangers. Once we removed those, the rest was a breaze. It looks AWSOME under the car (whish I had some mirrors or something for everyone to see).

I am very happy with this install and am glad that I didn't just stick with my initial game plan to do the one ball mod. Nothing against this mod, but the sound is SOOOO much better.

Now all I need is one of the famous tunes from Jan (he's coming to Sarasota in two weeks) and I'll be set for a while. I just completed the 15% pulley (Alta), Dinan CAI, and NGK Iridiums last week.

Where do I go from here??? Not sure if I want much more since this is my daily driver.

WOT

Squirt 'em down with WD40, and use large channel-locks. Get one of the jaws on the end of the bracket/nipple and the other on the hanger, not the outside of the hanger but the inside, the part that actually goes over the hanger and nipple. No prob once you get the edge past the nipple.

It is not hard you just need a little lube and the proper leverage.

I used a little grease and a little hook to get part of the rubber over the nipple part. Just be careful not to break the inner portion of the rubber mount. I ended up breaking one of them and just ordered a new once last night. It's not that hard, but you need some grease, some sort of hook to get inbetween the nipple and rubber and a little patience. It's MUCH easier if you put her up on a lift (if you can).

The rest of the exhaust was very easy to remove. A heat shield in the back, a mount towards the front of the MINI with a few screws to remove and two bolts holding the exhaust to the cat. That's it!!!

If I had to do it again, it might be an hour total.

I purchased mine from a member here on the board. He had to get rid of his MINI and had a brand new one for sale. There is a group buy on the main page for the same exhaust. Just PM the vendor and they'll send you a price with shipping to your door.

Congrats and I totally agree the Invidia is a great system. I just had my aftermarket exhaust replaced on my '06 MCS with the Invidia after an accident and I love it. It has a deaper burble and is definitely better at cruising speed. Can't wait to open it up on the track in the spring. I too have the Dinan CAI and 15% pulley.

Thats awesome! I just bought my system for my '04 MC40 S and it arrived early this week. I am waiting until I take a week off from work during the holidays to put my system in. I think I got a good deal on mine but who knows. I got it from streetrays.com (in Texas) and with a 5% discount they have it was $531.00. Add shipping and I was alittle under $600. I hope that was a good price. I looked all over and that was as cheap as it got.
