Second Creek September 8th
Posted on another forum: "Club B5 is considering renting the track on Monday, September 8th. I think we'll have around 15 or so cars there. It costs $2,000 to rent the track for the day, so I'm trying to get about 15 or 20 more cars out there to help lower the cost per person. I'm also considering inviting some other clubs to come out and drive. Anyone have any suggestions as to who we should contact?"
Post here if interested and I'll pass it on to the organizer, Pat Mickelson

Mark, thanks for posting this info. This event is organized by http://www.rmcb5.com a local group of VW and Audi enthusiasts. We are doing our national get to gether that weekend, many, many cars, people from all over, and we are welcoming everyone to join us...regardless of make/model of car.
SCR is closed on Mondays normally, so the track would be all ours, no other clubs, trainers, or racers out there. There will be plenty of track time for everyone, and some hefty competition.
The interesting thing is....Mark's Mini pretty much spanked most of our best drivers the last time we were out there. Minis are wicked fast around those corners...so maybe we can show everyone what a bunch of them can do. I plan on being there, and plan on attending the rest of the events for the entire weekend, drives, BBQ's, socializing, and of course the race track...that was one of the bast parts of the event last year.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask, or I can hook you up with the organizers from http://www.rmcb5.com and http://www.clubb5.com
cheers everyone

Brad,
If you have an email where we can contact you, we can send you the info. Your profile does not show email. You are welcome to directly email me if you don't want it posted. I am forwarding this thread to the guys that are organizing the event. That way they will know you are interested. The more people that show up, the less cost per person to rent the track for the entire day. Right now I am pretty sure it will be less than $100 each, we are hoping for $50 each, which is awesome. We need 40 drivers for that, and we are getting pretty close to that number from what I know.
We will have the track the entire day, some instructors that know Second Creek like the back of their hands, etc. Since you are doing the drive on Saturday, I can also give you info then if you want.
cheers
