R50/53 Anyone know for certain what the price increase will be for
If you are within $400 of getting or not getting a MINI, You may need to wait a long time. The sales tax alone will be somewhere like $1200.00.
Really, if you are that close to over your personal budget, then I'd vote to wait until after January. Or wait until you get your Income Taxes done.
Do not buy your MINI with your last $400.00. !!!!

Maybe I wasn't clear, the $400 I'm referring to is the difference between a 2003 and a 2004 model. Since I plan to keep the car forever and the differences between 2003 and 2004 are insignificant in my opinion, why not saye $400? On the other hand, if the price difference is ony $24 dollars, wait for the 2004.
Not a Mini or no Mini, a 2003 or a 2004 Mini.

If you special order one now, you're pretty much going to end up with an '04 anyway, as the model change is only about 2 months away. To me, the $400 is worth the wait. You'll lose at least twice that amount in car value when the '04's come out and you suddenly find yourself with a year old model. If this doesn't bother you, then you still might want to wait as you may be able to get a discount on an '03 in September
Just something to think about. Keep in mind any money you save can immediately go towards the mods I know you're already thinking about!

In an e-mail I just recieved from my "motoring advisor", she just told me that the dealers cost is only going up $24. Thats correct....only twenty four dollars.
She said if other dealers charge you more, thats just their add on.

The prices will increase, to be exact to $16,449 for the Cooper and $19,449 for the Cooper S. Not a guess, but a quote from a Bulletin released on Mini's DealerNet...
