I love the essence of #5... Nice work! I snapped this reflection from a building in Elmhurst, IL earlier today, but obviously too late for the deadline.

Wow, #5 looks like a magazine add! AMAZING SHOT!

I missed the deadline due to playing nurse. My hubby had knee surgery and I absolutely forgot the deadline.

Here's a few, just for fun~

#10 . Sharp, creative, and the focal point is in focus.

Many fine entries this month!
Something about #5 bugs me, like do twins qualify for the theme?

I'm sorry guys. Maybe it's just because I'm a 61 year old fart; but I just don't get #5. Could somebody please explain it to me. It's an all around lousy picture. It has no class. And I don't see where the self-portrait is - hidden or otherwise.

The photographer is pictured as both the driver and the passenger, thus the self portrait.

This is a classic "rigged" shot. This was taken with a camera rig, which effectively acts as a tripod would in that it keeps the camera fixed in place with respect to the car while the car moves.

You wouldn't be the Minister/Reverend Jeremiah Wright, formerly Obama's pastor, would you? You seem to have a similar way with words...

Dave & Dan,

You guys are right. I apologize. I shouldn't have said it has no class. But, in my opinion, it don't think that it's as classy as #9.

Well, the same piece of art can both be hated and loved by two separate people. Photographs are much the same way. However, I think we owe it to the people in our community to be constructive in how we criticize their efforts, or perhaps just not make a negative comment in the first place.

Revray, may I suggest a bit more elegance and significantly more elaboration with your critique? Stating what you like or dislike about a photo is appreciated and is part of the learning process for photographers.

(Am I feeding the trolls?)

Just call me "Summer Recess" Speednut (old Fat Albert cartoon show joke)

Well they're all great pics
I'm currently torn between 5 and 9. I really like 7 and the color/b&w effect, but 9 won out (IMHO) based on where/how the MINI is placed in the reflection.
I normally like the candid-type shots better than those that are either too staged or have been modified afterwards HOWEVER, pic 5 shows a lot of planning and a damned good job of duplicating himself (unless he's a twin )

Just my 2¢

Uh . . . by their very nature, self-portraits are NEVER candid.
(They can be spontaneous however.)

IMHO it looks to me like there has been way too much editing, i.e. Photochopping, involved with some of these entries.

That's why I neglected to mention "self-portraits" specifically, it was a general statement
