How many mile on your clubman?

I got my Clubman on 2/18 and immediately took a road trip. After a month I have just over 4000 miles. How am I doing?

What's your milage? Any idiot lights appear yet? I've had intermittent TPMS failures (my tires are still 100%) from day one.

I'm loving all the space. I just wanna know if others have blown through more than 1/6 of their warranty in the month since release. Cheers

Hi Donna, could you please confirm the specific color of your Clubman? I see your sig. says "LB" (and my guess is "Lightning Blue"), but it could also be confused for Laser Blue which uses the same abbrev. and photographs similarly in certain lighting conditions.

Glad you're enjoying it so much; I know we will too! TIA!

Picked it up 2/27 and have racked only 620 miles since then. I know, I know, we need to drive it more! (Wife works from home 2 days a week and when she does go to work still has a very short commute). We'll be driving it to Disney World next month, so that will be its first maiden voyage!

Oh and no issues with idiot lights or TPMS false alarms! This car is very solid and hope its stays that way! After all we plan to keep it for 9 years!

Picked up ours on the 28th of February and 1500 miles so far. Just daily driving with one DCMM run included. More runs coming up though...and so will the miles.

Picked up 02-21 and now have 1,590 miles. I'm going to Durango this coming week for the train ride but we will be taking wife's SUV due to possible snow problems. When Crossman comes out, we will dive into the snow with no reservations. Can't wait!

Otra- Soon, I promise! Once I have pictures I'll need to figure out how to get them onto this site. I guess it's back to the forum how-to section again! This is my first experience on a user forum, so the mechanics are all new to me.

For pix, I've found the simplest way is to "attach" them...go to Advanced reply, you'll see a little paper clip...you can upload your pictures right from your desktop..as .jpg... Believe me, if I can do it you can.

I drove away my mini clubman on march 7th and I now have 485 miles already..I love the car, however I had many issues with it when I first picked up the car on that day..There were 2 dents on the top of the car, a few scratches and cracks near the bottom the car and the back trim..they gave me the car with the outside detail not good at all, so I told them to send it back for another, and when that was not good enough, sent it back for a 3rd and finally it was acceptable to me. The funny thing is they had the pink ribbon on the top of the car hiding the dents thinking I would not notice it, but I did and they fixed it right there as well as the scratches and the small crack. The transport from England was horrible to say the least. I also brought in the car for service for noticing loose things around the car, like the chrome trim around the car, so they ordered me new ones and I am waiting for them to arrive in. This is my 2nd mini and the first one I bought in 2006, the mini cooper S was perfect. There is nothing wrong with the mini clubman inside, its all on the outside. I would like to find out who the amateur inspector was on my car. He did a lousy job inspecting. The clubman rides like a baby, I love it. But now I need to take care of some loose ends (no pun intended) and then I will be totally happy. I feel they rushed building my car for some reason and that is horrible. I am still waiting on the real time traffic feature for my navigator, which still has not arrived yet..that is another disappointment I must say...who puts a navigator in a car without real time traffic??? isnt that avoiding the purpose? anyway, its hard to believe i have close to 5oo miles on my baby already...my other mini cooper S has 31,000 miles and I bought that one in Nov 2006.

Bridgehorse, sorry to hear about your delivery troubles. Is not uncommon for new cars to sustain damage during transport. However, the VPC (Vehicle processing center) should have caught the dents and scratches upon receiving and inspecting the car. Another possibility is that the car was still "Pristine" by the time it left the VPC and damage could have taken place from there to the dealership or at the dealer.

On Friday I saw a brand new 2008 Merdedes Benz C-Class with all stickers, seats still wrapped in plastic, 2 miles on the odo.... The car had 2 huge dents in the hood. They looked like a harmer had been dropped on top of the sheetmetal. They gave the car to the Dent Wizard guy (A friend of mine) for him to fix the dents (No paint damage just big dents) as the car was getting ready to be delivered.

Out of curiosity... what was the exact location of the dents, scratches and cracks? Did you take pics? You could blast the MA on his/her sales evaluation because it is obvious this person either did not take notice of the blemishes or chose to ignore them in hopes that you did not see them.

Personally, I would not have accepted the car It is obvious the car sustained damage and the dealer was not upfront about it or at least try to correct the problems before delivery.

thanks for your post!!

I made it very clear to them that I was not happy with the situation and even went over their heads to the management..I think you are correct in everything you said in your post! This is ridiculous and i will bother them to no end until this is all fixed. The dents were located near the sunroof on the top of the car, and the scratches and crack were near the back of the car which are now fixed as well as the dents. Now I am having issues with loose things around the car...the inside of the car is perfect and the car drives like a baby..i will keep you updated and thanks!

p.s. i did not take pixx's because they were fixed on the same day at the dealership or i was not going to take the car.

Mine has about 3000 miles since mid January. Average fuel consumption dropped from 10 liters to 8.5 litres. When I really try, I average about 7.4 litres per 100 km.
