what does it mean to be "wait listed" . I put the order in last saturday but my production number will not be available this week bc of this . I may have it next week?

 

and won't be able to enter your order untill they have more cars to sell.... It's no big deal, just means more time till you take delivery. If it's really important to you, call around to other dealers.

At least they didn't tell you that 'you were one of two last order we could take available for this month'. Ordered mine yesterday. Production started mid april and delivery by early may.

 

well I guess I dont know that for sure! eek

 

the demand for clubmans is so high that they're going like hot-cakes in Italy. Me, I think they want to sell more cars in Europe cause they're built there, and the slide of the dollar has made the cars less profitable to sell here....

That's not just you... that's the truth. European orders will be getting priority.

 

I doubt if Europe is actually getting any priority - just catching up the month's Clubman production that was diverted to ships taking dealer stock to the US and Australian launches!

 

fishdrummer, ordered mine 2 weeks ago from sterling, va also. Still havent gotten the production numbers....

 

but the public reason is hilarious. Larger cars sell better here, but with the dollar in the toilet, they make more money on European sales. They should just say "Cause the dollar sucks we'll sell as much as we can in Europe to keep the shareholders (or owners, whatever) happy."

toz, was it a Clubman S that you ordered? Per my MINI advisor there is a waiting period for the S's, but base Clubmans hit production within days of the order. I ordered 3/1, entered production 3/4, is now awaiting transport!

yeah i ordered an S, i hate the wait..awaiting transport!!!! i havent even gotten the production numbers

 

so we can use this as leverage for free mud flaps? yeah right....

Ordered my new clubman 3/9, got he vin # 3/11, just called 866askmini and it said the status is in the body shop and scheduled for completion 3/17.
Went through this process several years ago with my first Mini, but even more exciting now somehow?

Anyone know the actual manufacturing steps are and how long it takes to actually be built?

How long do you think it'll be until it gets to my dealership?

Somehow, if I recall correctly, last time the wait was alot longer, here it will be finished only 8 days after I ordered it- dealer said I was lucky- just got the order in at the right time.

You could try, but you're still in the production queue, even if you don't have a prod #. I guess it wouldn't hurt to call other local dealers and see how far out their wait lists are.

 

I put in an order for a Clubman S on March 22 at Mini of Sterling. Based on MoS's current allocation numbers it looks like late June/July for delivery. I am patient and have a spare ride so it's OK by me.

 

oh ill wait it out too.. frankly they played up the issuance of the production number ..im zen about it now .

 

weird, i didn't even write the "awaiting transport" part....

anyway, i didn't get the production numbers yet either. I just left a voicemail asking for it, we'll see.
