Today I got a Starmate from a friend. Came complete with everything. He just got a new car that came with sirius.. So I spent about an hour trying to figure where to put it in the car. I didn't want to see any wires (antena, aux wire, power wire) So I made a custom bracket so I can put the reciever under the switches in that little area not used. I ran all the wires except for the power. I dont want to use the cig power plug it came with. My plan is to cut the wire, put an inline fuse and tap into the cig lighter power. This way all the wires will be hidden. I tool the dash apart and the console to get to the power for the cig lighter but I am horrible at wiring so I wanted help to figure out what wire to tap into. Anyone tap into the power for the cig lighter? My dad is the electronic expert but he couldn't come to my house and I really want to get it finished.
