I have an '03 Indie Blue Mini and was looking to get new rims. I'm torn between the colors of rims. I like gunmetal a lot...but generally believe the darker rims look better on white and yellow. (my opinion) But I would like to see other Indie Blue mini's with different color/style rims on them before I make my purchase. Can anybody help??

 

Like you, i have an 03's Indi Blue w/White stripes,Mirrors and Roof. I have the R90'S and really like the look of black wheels with polished lip.I have looked at Gold,white and gunmetal wheels and it didn't do it for me.Try the tire rack website,they have an area where you type in your car and color and try different wheels to see just what looks best to you.I'm probabaly going with the ASA'S or Kazeras in black with polished lip when the wallet allows.Good luck in your search.

 

Mine is an 04 Indy Blue...I tried a friends black ASAs and didnt like them against the dark blue...I feel black wheels look good on just about any color but blue. I'm a big fan of black wheels having run them on my cobra for 8 years.

I just purchased a set of Enkei gf1s in silver. I get them in a couple of days. It should look good.

If you want to keep your OEM look, R90's (or cheaper R90 replicas) are...drool . You know what those are BlueMini75, right?

I like solid black wheels on the IB/B MCS; but don't like black wheels with a polished lip for our color combo. I think that a gold wheel would look pretty good on our IB's also. Gunmetal wheels are hot too, but are a little bit too dark and dull for my tastes.

I tried to pick a pretty standard looking wheel that was light weight, aggressive looking, and under $200 a wheel, so that's why I ended up choosing the Team Dynamics Pro Race 1's.

Wow, Indie Blue looks just like my Lightning Blue. Was it just a name change, or is there a subtle difference?

 

I wanted gold ,like a WRX but settled for bronze , and the wheels are growing on me.(how do you make the photos not a thumbnail ?)
