know of a diy spring install?

hey guys,

i think i might try to tackle this one tomorrow morning. i know about the diy files that are sticky in the mod forum but the pics arent working.

does anyone have a diy with pics so that i can reference them during my install? ive done springs before on other cars but i just want to see this info preinstall. thanks

I found the write up linked by k-huevo to be immensely helpful when I did my TSW install. The job is much easier than the write-up would suggest once you get started. Reading the write-up thoroughly before you start, and making sure you have all of the tools required first makes for a painless couple hours work.

FYI, I used the rubber strap-wrench method (available for ~$15 at Sears) for loosening/torquing the nut on the shaft of the struts.

I also used the buddy method for spring compression and found that it was extremely easy to do this way.

The rears are the easiest springs i've ever replaced. Save them for last, it'll only take you about 20 min to do both.
