Need help on deciding springs-only for a '02 Cooper S
Hey guys/gals,
Its my first post and my first new/ 2002 used Mini Cooper S....so be nice
I'm looking to lower my mini by only 1 inch all around and have decided with H-springs. I have coilovers on my Audi TT, VW Corrado....but have put a set of Neuspeed Sport springs-only on my wife's Beetle and the ride has been fine with a nice lower stance from factory for the past couple of years with no issues of blown factory shocks.
If I just want the "look", will the lowering springs be "OK" without having to replace my stock shocks or needing to purchase coilovers.
Many thanks

If you want an inch drop and a comparable ride quality to stock, then the H-sports are the way to go. You will eventually have to replace the shocks. But to give you an example. I have had the h-sport springs with the stock shock for about 20 thousand miles with no issues. The ride quality has remained the same.
