Color Choice, Advice/Opinions

I've posted this on some local MINI/Mini Forums and I'm getting some opinions, all be it, slowly.

So I'll try NAM now. (Much larger audience).

Look at this video of Classic Minis and there artwork (paint). About 31 seconds into the clip, check out the color shifter. Pause if you must as this is the only time you will see this particular car.

My question is this: Do you like it?
Do you dislike it?
Do think I'm nuts?
Is this color dated?

You get the general idea. Your feedback is much appreciated.

On a classic Mini almost anything is possible if you like it and it's basically well done. I don't see why the same shouldn't be true for a MINI.

I agree with this sentiment. You'll be driving it around (and making the payments), so really all that matters is that YOU like it.

If you are talking "flip paint" or color-shifting paint, its not my favorite thing and looks wrong on a classic Mini, imho. Great for hot rods or modern show cars but out of place on a Mini.

I think it's gorgeous! I also like the dark blue towards the very end. Color shifter paint ALWAYS is eyecatching!

How bout a basic metallic for the dark checks and a color shift added for the other checks?

O.K.

Now your all getting a bit ahead of me.

Yes, checks are in the plan.

I wanted to do the roof in a Pearl Metallic White.

Then do the Cooper bonnet stripes as usual, with the same white. The twist would be to do a checkerboard, or perhaps a harlequin(spelling) in those stripes with a pearl blue/green shades of pearl white fading out as they approach the windshield.

What do you think now?
