R56 A question about the dashboard
A question about the dashboard
The upper part of my dashboard was replaced last month because it came with a huge scratch on it from the factory. The dealer (who is located 170 miles away from me) had to take the dash apart to install the upper part and put back everything together. Some time after this repair, I noticed that the gap between the bottom of the closed secret compartment cover and the colorline trim below it is much larger than what it used to be. I can see interior parts of the dash through this gap. It definitely was not like this before the upper dash replacement. A similar problem has been reported in this thread:

Anyone had a similar issue before? Is there an easy way of fixing this myself? I don't want to go back to the dealer who is 170 miles away just for this thing.

Can't answer your question, but I'd at least call the SA to report this, and have it put on your car's record. Otherwise they might give you grief at some future time when you are the dealer for something else and want to have it taken care of then.
