I was on my way to check out this art exhibition in San Francisco, the North Beach area. I haven't been there since I was a kid. I drive there and I swear there's like a MINI parked on every block almost. I waved at 4 happy people today. It was weird, I never came across any S models, all Coopers. I never knew there were this many MINI owners in one area. Pretty cool, I'm guessing they're all standard Cooper models since BMW of San Francisco overprices their S. They were telling me an S without alot of features is goin to be around 33. hahahaha, yeah right.

Anyways, it almost felt like the Italian Job screening again. The only problem was it was the most difficult time I've ever had driving stick. ALL HILLS IN TRAFFIC. I died twice today and it was so tough.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only bay area owner in here.

I seem to come across only 1 MINI per 2 weeks in Daly City. I think I see more H2's. But upon driving into the City we see one over every other hill--so much for feeling special.

Those 15 MINIs, though, were probably the same 5 just circling for parking!

 

I made the mistake of driving to North Beach a few weeks ago, thinking that my MINI would give me an advantage in parking. Turns out all the parking spaces too small for anything but a MINI already had a MINI in them.

If anyone wants to experience the nightmare of MINI becoming as popular as the new VW bug, go to North Beach. They're everywhere.
