Drivetrain How do you get rid of the vibrating when driving stick....
The bumps are they to wake you up so you don't drive off the road?
In other words, extra vibration in reverse is not normal, and if you're 'launching' hard enough that your wheels skip, that would explain that, but i'm guessing this is not the case, which leads back to the not normal thing...

If you're vibrating in first then your RPMs are too low. Try giving it more gas as you release the clutch.

You need to get together with a fellow MINI owner (or worst case, go back to your dealer) and get them to try to replicate your "vibration". I don't think it's possible for you to acurately describe via an online forum what's happening...and while it's quite likely that the issue is caused by something that you're doing, it could be a problem with the car (clutch, idle speed, transmission, etc.). Thus, the only way to really diagnose the problem -- other than a bunch of us guessing and joking -- is to take the "you" factor out. Get someone else to drive your car.
ps -- I have absolutely no idea what you mean by a "typical stick problem." My car doesn't vibrate...and I've never heard of anyone else complaining of this.

My wild guess is that you're lugging the motor... keep the revs up a bit higher and/or practice your clutch engagement.. It's possible that you are moving slow enough that you need to slip the clutch a bit to keep it from lugging.
