Clear Bra installers

Forgive me if this has been discussed already, but my search didn't turn up any results. Was wondering if anyone knew of any decent Clear Bra installers in the area? Any good or bad experiences? I expect to take delivery within a week so if I'm gonna pull the trigger - would rather do it sooner than later.

Thx.

Clear Bra Install

When I worked at Princeton MINI, our dent guy, Rocky, also did clear bras. It was his own template so it covered the nose completely. When he was done, you couldn't even see it. Call Jeremy Golis, the Mini manager at Princetion and talk to him about it.

Thanks for the advice Deb. Princeton seems very courteous thus far.

Just curious also if anyone had any experience with Clear Image Inc. in Hasbrouck Heights? (www.clearfilmprotection.com) Guy I spoke to (Nelson) said they could do the front bumper, mirrors, and front bonnet for $695. Headlights would cost $55 more. Very courteous as well.

$695 is a pretty good quote. From what I've seen so far, I saw dealers charging $800 to as much as $1,000~ .

I'm wondering if installers apply the clear bra year round. IIRC the minimum temp. range is 65 degrees so outdoor installs during the fall and winter is out of the question. But can you install it indoors granted the temp inside the garage is above the minimum temp during the winter?

And for those wavering on whether to get this or not, I'm now looking at options for touching up paint on my 2.5 month old mini for rocks that chipped a few spots of paint on the hood. They're not too hard to spot and I know they will grow bigger real soon now. Maybe spring.

Yeah, the more I read, the more I think I'll go for it. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the dealerships (non BMW also) were using these guys. I haven't found any reviews on them though. We'll see.

He did the clear bra and headlight film on my STi. I just had him do the Tint on the Cooper S.

A better product to protect your paint is http://armorcoat.armorauto.com/ Im looking to do this on my car.

Better than a clearBra would you say? Def. seems more practical. How long does it last?

Its paint applied so no lines to clean wax out of. If its damaged it can be repaired. You could coat the whole car in it, try that with a clear bra.. It lasts as long as the car its self since its like a flexible clear coat applied over the oem clear.
