From Port Hueneme Distribution Center to San Francisco Mini Dealership?

Okay.

Want to see if anyone has a time line on when a MINI is delivered from the Port Hueneme distribution center to the San Francisco MINI dealer in California?

Has anyone purchased a MINI from MINI of San Francisco in CA?

What was your experience like?

How long did it take to get the MINI from
Port Hueneme to the SF MINI dealer?

Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to review and advise!

The Bay Area people in week #43 Fidelio were starting to receive their cars about a week after it arrived at port, assuming you didn't have a lot of add-ons.

drewster,

What ship is yours on? Our is on the Falstaff, slated to be @ the Port in Oxnard CA on 11/17/07.

I have no idea what our production weeks was.

Hoping that they will have it @ the dealer by 12/22/07 for delivery.

Would make a helluva Xmas gift!

ok looks like we are on different boats, mine is a week 46 build and the ship is scheduled to arrive to port huemene today.

well at least we can time it from today and see how long it takes for it to reach sf_mini. I don't have any accessories that need to be installed at the VDC so hopefully it gets here next week.

Mine was delivered to Mini of Mountain View and it spent about 2 weeks extra at the port having a scratch repaired. It took about 3 weeks total at the port. They are delivered by Wagoneers trucking from the port.

Drewster,

Yeh, looks like different boats.

I also have NO OTHER accessories to be installed.

Lemme know how long it takes to get from the Distribution center to SF Mini. Trying to figure out if it will be an X-mas gift or not!

Who was your MA?

I believe my Mini, on the Falstaff is @ the Panama Canal today.

Thanks for the responses!

You known your MINI will want to take Hwy 1 instead of 101 or the 5 even if it is riding.

haha, i'll take the MINI to Hwy 1, Mt Tamalpais and Skyline (Hwy 35) soon enough.

I believed it reach the port on Sunday, got a call from the MA today that it will arrive at the dealer on Thursday, and I'll be able to pick it up on Saturday. Nice.

I started with SF, called both Mountain View & EB, went back to my guy at SF and got a price that was less than MSRP. Easy & painless, except for the 5 weeks waiting for delivery.

Was your vehicle delivered? If so how long did it take to reach SF Mini?

I called my MA @ SF Mini today, mind you for the first time since ordering the thing, on 12/15/07, and he advised that it was gonna take 10-12 days to go from the port near Oxnard to the SF Mini Dealership.

I just about chucked my phone A C C R O S S the room on that one!

Hafta admit, i was kinda SOUR on that note to say the least.

MA kept calling me "Jeff" too (which is not my name).

But what are you gonna do? Eh?

Also, on another note....I told my MA not to stick that ridiculous "Mini of San Francisco" decal on the left rear of the boot hatch when we ordered the thing.

Guess if he can't remember my name, he's gonna have a helluva time remembering to exclude the "Mini of San Francisco" Decal, eh?

Better start callin' this guy daily for updates or he's gonna forget everything we agreed upon.

TERRIBLE!

Not quite! No FREE options (if that were true I would have done a standing back flip @ the dealership).

We got $600 below MSRP and thus loaded up on a few other options, which in our minds is the SAME as getting a few options for free (taking total cost back up to MSRP).
