being in the biz of tire sales they better ride better than that of the run flats, no where near the rubber in the sidewall.. as far as the Eagle F1 AS tires go, from what goodyear says and from what i've read, is that they are sposed to be pretty good. they will still have a stiff sidewall 'cause it has carbon fiber in both inner and outer sidewalls, but that is more for the aspect of less give for more stability, and thus more rubber on the road, during turns. I don't know what run-flats you have on your MINI but as far as mine goes, i really didn't like the ride of the pirelli's, so anything was better. i was looking at the eagle f1 as, but a little out of my price range... :( ended up going with the new falken ze-912's and am pleased with them. got to test them out in the "best" that iowa has to offer in the winter on saturday, and was plesently supprised. hope that helps, and if i can answer anymore questions about tires i'll try.
