Top Repellant?

Has anyone ever used the BMW top repellant? I just washed the car, used the top cleaner and put a coat of repellant on. It says to dissolve the whole bottle into 2.5L of water. I did and applied it "generously" but wiped up any "excess moisture" but I have more than half of the solution left in the bucket and am wondering if I should do a second coat. Anyone have any ideas??

What do the instructions say?

I use the 303 Areospace myself, so I'm interested in knowing how this turns out. The 303 totally beads and absorbs not at all after it's dry.

The instructions just said to dissolve the whole bottle and apply generously. I left it with just the one coat. After spending two hours on the car last night, of course it drizzled for 5 minutes. Not enough to see how well the repellant worked, but just enough to ruin my clean car

Doh!

Let us know how well it works. What did the bottle cost you? Can you pour it into a milk jug and save it for later or something?

It's supposed to get really nasty this weekend... sleet, snow, ice... yea! So I'll see how well it works. Unfortunately, we haven't removed some things from the garage so I can't park inside yet.
I bought it with the whole soft top care kit, but I think it's about $20 by itself. I threw out the rest for now. I'll have to ask my guy at Knauz if I can use half the bottle or if it can be saved. Hopefully someone has used the stuff before. I'll let you know how well it does after our blizzard this weekend...

I use Ragg Topp on my Crossfire Roadster. Best product in the market IMO, and easy to apply.

Just pulled Hammy in the shop to put the snow shoes on after the crazy snow we're getting right now and the snow is melting and running down like crazy! The tops isn't even wet! It just keeps pouring off. Happy to see it work after what they charge for it
