OEM Clutch

The stock clutch is fine at least to 130bhp, which is what our JCW MC's are making...Mine lasted 2 seasons of road racing, and I just couldn't stand it any more and took it out after a 24-hour race....the mechanics were shocked, as it still looked good.....changed it anyway, for peace of mind.

If you are not racing the car, go with a lighter flywheel and lightweight crank pulley, light wheels, etc.....check out Wilwood front brakes rather than the AP/Brembos....you lose 5 pounds per corner of unsprung weight. Note: If you are on the street, don't go too extreme on the flywheel weight reduction, as the noise will increase to a level you may not be comfortable with, day in and day out.....

Cheers!

Stephen.

Have a Spec stage II clutch and a Fidanza flywheel. They're both great and I have no noise to go along with it. Before I had them installed, I was warned about the possible noise the flywheel would give, but no problems here.
Just my two cents....

I'm in NC and was talking to Dan at Grass Roots Garage. He recommended the same set up. Glad to hear another success story. Looks like a go!

I used the Clutchmasters Flywheel and Kevlar stage 3 clutch(from Revolution) set on mine...Didn't want to overtax a stock clutch disc. Seemed to be real grabby at first, but I have gotten much better at driving it. I pulled it out and checked it 10k later after blowing my trans and it looked perfect. Big difference with the flywheel, I would say it to be one of the best upgrades I have done performance wise.
