HELP! 06 S fluttering Idle after work done!
Hey folks,
I have an 2006 S that has the madness 15% pulley, madness catback exhaust and madness intake on it.
It runs like a raped ape and I have had NO issues with it since everything was installed just three weeks ago. I had to drop the car off at the body shop to get the hood repainted as it was scratched badly when some vinyle was being done...another story entirely....and when I picked it up, and started to drive away, the idle was bouncing around and threatening to stall. At speed it was also sounding different.
I called the guys who did the hood and they said the only thing they did under the hood was disconnect the battery. It then sat for a week while work was done, then the hood was reinstalled and the battery hooked back up. Guy told me the computer would figure it out and I would be back to gold.
Any opinions on this???
PS Hope I posted this in the correct spot. Jeff

Your ECU reset itself
When they disconnected your battery, your ECU reset itself. Don't worry, your aftermarket flash is still there. When the ECU is reset, it has to re-learn the optimal settings. Your car should be running normally again after the learning process is done, about 1-1.5 days.
