JCW CAR CONVER ON CABRIO

Hello all. Anyone use this cover. http://www.outmotoring.com/mini-coop...door_car_cover One site says not for cabrio, but another says it will fit.

Thanks,

Geo

I haven't tried it . . . but I don't see how it works with the cabrio antena without some kind of modification.

Perhaps, you could unscrew the antenna before putting on the cover.

I could also cut a small hole for the antena. Anyone have this cover?

I don't have that cover, but instead have a Indoor cover that has the Antenna as part of the cover. I can put the cover on with the antenna in place, but normally just unscrew it as it's easier...

That certainly occurred to me -- it just seems like a PIA, especially when there's a cabrio cover that doesn't require that . . . but I guess others are doing it that way.

I had a regular coupe outdoor cover and it had a little pocket for the antenna so you un-screw it and slip it in the pocket. I am guessing that it would work the same way.

The factory cover I had had a little pouch where the antenna goes, but you had to take the antenna off, it wasn't big enough for it to fit. Cutting a hole in it seemed tobe defeating the purpose of the cover.

I have the oem convertible cover and the antenna needs to be removed. However, the fabric is sewn to accomodate the antenna base.
As for this cover, the Outmotoring site also says that this cover will be loose around the boot of the convertible, and I'd be concerned about that. It doesn't take much wind to blow around an ill-fitting cover, and that's just asking for scratches. I've read a lot of positive posts about the Covercraft covers. http://www.covercraft.com
