My wife's 2006 MC "Average Speed" display is stuck on 1.2mph. (Of course I KNOW she drives faster than this!) I can't figure out why this won't change, so I thought I'd throw this out there for help in troubleshooting this problem. I have yet to disconnect the battery cable and to reset the power, but that might be my next step. Thanks!

 

It's happenedto a few people, just needs a reset. There is an easier way than having to undo the battery.

 

Simply hold down the selector button that switches between the computer displays when the average speed is displayed, and it will reset! Easy!

Also works for the average gas mileage display.

The same thing happened to my wife's 2006 MCSC after about 6,000 miles of never resetting the average speed. She was on the interstate and the average speed readout got stuck at 1.2MPH. After resetting the average MPH, it hasn't happened again in 14,000 miles.
